How to sync your Airbnb and Booking.com calendars
Two portals, one apartment, no double bookings. How calendar links (iCal) work, how to connect Airbnb and Booking.com in both directions, and where the gaps are — in about five minutes.

Step by step

Copy your Airbnb calendar link
In Airbnb, open Calendar and choose the listing, then Availability. Under Connect calendars, choose Connect to another website and copy the Airbnb calendar link.

Paste it into Booking.com
In the Booking.com extranet, open Rates & Availability, then Sync calendars. Add a new calendar connection for the right room, paste the Airbnb link and give it a name.

Copy your Booking.com calendar link
On the same Sync calendars screen, copy the export link Booking.com gives you for that room.

Paste it into Airbnb
Back in Airbnb, under Connect to another website, paste the Booking.com link into the calendar address field, name it and choose Add calendar.

Check both directions
Block one night on one portal, wait for the next refresh — or press Refresh in Airbnb — and check that the night is closed on the other. Then open it again.

Repeat for every unit
Links are per listing and per room. Three apartments on two portals means six links, and each must point at the right unit.

- Booked and blocked dates
- A short summary per booking — on Airbnb, the confirmation code and a link to it
- Changes and cancellations, on the next refresh

- Prices and discounts
- Minimum stay and other rules
- Guest names, e-mails and phone numbers

Do it once, in one place
With two portals the links cross over; add a third and there are six links to keep right. Questions
How long does a sync take?
Airbnb refreshes connected calendars about every three hours, and Refresh pulls one at once. Booking.com refreshes on its own schedule, usually several times a day. A booking made in between is not seen by the other portal until its next refresh.
Can I still get a double booking?
Yes, inside the refresh window: two guests can book the same night on two portals before either calendar is updated. It is rare, and rarer the shorter the window. An account connection closes the gap; a calendar link only narrows it.
Do prices sync through the calendar link?
No. A calendar link carries dates only. Prices, discounts and minimum stays stay where you set them, portal by portal — or in one place, if your software connects to the portals' accounts.
What if Booking.com does not show Sync calendars?
Calendar sync is offered to properties that manage their availability in the extranet. If your property is already connected to a channel manager, the sync is done there instead.
